Position Information:
The Compliance Specialist will assist with all aspects of the day-to-day operation of WakeMed?s Corporate Compliance program.The Compliance Specialist?s responsibilities may include but not limited to maintaining and organizing information prepare reports and dashboards for trending compliance results. Monitor and investigate compliance hotline reports conflict of interest (COI) disclosures and other reports of potential compliance violations. Track and report on compliance hotline caseload volume and time to close investigations. Review COI disclosure forms against publicly available data and follow up with providers where necessary. Monitor implementation of corrective action plans and develop management reports. Complete internal audits and other projects on the corporate compliance work plan to support continuous monitoring of identified compliance risks. Reports audit results as well as analyze and recommend corrective action plans. Assist in ongoing risk assessment process for corporate compliance regulatory priorities and development of annual corporate compliance work plan. Support compliance training programs for employees medical staff members and other team members. Ensure that appropriate policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are in place to promote regulatory compliance at all levels. Support assigned oversight committees and ad-hoc working groups by scheduling meetings obtaining agenda items preparing presentations recording minutes and tracking outcomes. The Compliance Specialist may also be assigned primary responsibility for other projects based on the needs of the Corporate Compliance program. The Compliance Specialist will report to the Director Corporate Compliance.

Experience Requirements:
2 Years Related Position Experience Or Federal health care programs Or Complex legal/regulatory subjects Or Healthcare - Multi-Hospital System Preferred

Education Required:
Associate's Degree Related Field Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified in Healthcare Compliance Required - Within 24 Months of Hire

Hours of Work:
Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends
