Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer, the Compliance Systems Specialist is a critical team member in the implementation of the university's compliance and ethics program. The incumbent will be a primary point of contact for issues related to FSU's Conflicts Administration Management System (CAMS) and will be a resource for development and implementation of compliance training, education, and monitoring systems by other departments within the university.
  • Supports the Office of Compliance and Ethics in the activities related to the technical support of the COI system. This system is a centralized location for disclosure, processing, and approval of outside activities and interests disclosed by FSU faculty, staff, and members of certain governing boards. The system integrates with FSU's existing RAMP system. Assist with activities related to the upgrade of the COI module. Assists the RAMP Support Director in the resolution of system-wide technical issues working with representatives from Huron.
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely manner, including troubleshooting issues and determining when issues need to be raised to the level of the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer and/or Huron for technical support.
  • Responsible for assisting in the development of training materials for the COI system based on knowledge of common user issues.
  • Reviews compliance data from OCE systems to report on trends and compliance rates, makes recommendations for systems improvements to improve compliance and provides related training and support to OCE staff and other campus units. Assists CCEO and ACOs with state and federal reporting obligations as needed.
  • Responsible for development, planning, and implementation of compliance-related tracking and monitoring systems for areas over which OCE has primary responsibility, utilizing new and emerging available technology solutions. Assists other campus units and provides training and support for implementation of new and existing compliance systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years experience related to administrative services or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Huron research administration suite highly desired.
