Your Role

Join Atlas Copco as a Compressor Analysis Engineer where you will perform compressor aerodynamic and mechanical component sizing and calculations of our engineered to order centrifugal compressors to support Aftermarket, Applications, and Sales. You will also design and select components for integrally geared compressors such as impellers, diffusers, volutes, bearings, and gears to ensure designs meet customer requirements. As part of the Analytical team, you will report to the Analytical Manager and work with the Analytical team, including Analytical Engineers, Aerodynamic Engineers, the Lead Mechanics Engineer, and the Gearbox Project Engineer. This is a hybrid position located in Voorheesville, NY.

• You will design compressor aerodynamic component geometries for future orders and production work.
• You will help in re-rating existing compressor designs to meet new and innovated requirements.
• You will size and select rotor components for new applications and production designs.
• You will produce engineering documentation for preliminary aerodynamic and mechanical design of the compressor.
• You will develop and maintain a knowledge of Atlas Copco products and machine applications.

To succeed, you will need

• You hold a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
• You can occasionally travel, including national and international travel up to 5-10% annually.
