  • Serve as a researcher and software developer on teams developing hardware and software solutions for technology areas such as uncrewed ground vehicles (UGVs), connected and automated vehicles (CAVs), and uncrewed aerial systems (UAS).
  • Develop, test, and deploy hardware and software systems related to perception, localization, navigation, and/or control for vehicles systems with varying degrees of autonomy (e.g., driverless cars, automated off-road ground vehicles, UAS, etc.).
  • Develop novel concepts and technologies related to multi-vehicle/multi-system coordination and cooperation (e.g., platooning, swarm, etc.).

  • Participate in all phases of the development cycle, including requirements definition, hardware/software systems design, implementation, testing, and integration.
  • Develop software systems to enable UGV, CAV, and/or UAS applications.
  • Support integration, configuration, testing, and deployment of UGV, CAV, and/or UAS hardware and software systems and applications in real-world settings.
  • Initiate advanced research and development programs, interact with clients, make technical presentations, prepare technical reports.

  • Requires a Bachelors or a Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering will also be considered
  • 0-1 years: BS candidates must have relevant academic coursework and project experience and/or internship experience. MS candidates must have relevant research experience.
  • Strong software development skills and experience required (preferably object-oriented programming language, such as C++ and/or C#).
  • Strong systems engineering experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well individually and as a member of a technical project team.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
