Job Description:

The Concrete Finisher will assist in prepping, pouring, and finishing for roadways, curb and gutter, sidewalk, concrete structures (ie inlets, box culverts, retaining walls, etc.), and other concrete applications. This position will perform tasks involving physical labor within heavy concrete projects and construction sites. They may be required to operate hand and other power tools of various types.

This position is one in which a momentary lapse of attention may result in grave and immediate danger to themselves and others; therefore, this position is classified as safety sensitive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing form work, wood, and metal to hold concrete in place.
• Install reinforcement rebar or wire mesh.
• Pouring concrete to the right elevation using all hand tools required.
• Finishing concrete to the right elevation by hand and using power trowels.
• Finishing concrete using all hand tools as a float, trowel, jointer, edger, and broom.
• Ensure and adhere to company safety program

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of professional experience as a concrete finisher.
• Must be able to follow directions and operate equipment safely.
• Must have some mechanical ability/knowledge.
• Must have a working knowledge of construction jobsite activities.
• Must be able to climb, stoop, bend, and squat as required for various duties.
• Must be able work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
• Must adhere to safety requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and supervisors with other duties as required
