Position Summary & Duties: POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team, with a focus on disaster recovery efforts and experience in CDBG-DR housing projects to support Oregon's long-term recovery from disaster occurring in 2020. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage construction projects from start to finish, including overseeing contractors and ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Develop and implement schedules, budgets, and project management processes for disaster recovery projects.
• Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders, including owners, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure that all construction activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner, and that all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations are met.
• Manage the procurement of materials and equipment needed for construction projects.
• Oversee all aspects of project closeout, including final inspection and resolution of any punch-list items.


Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on disaster recovery and CDBG-DR housing projects
• Strong Xactimate proficiency - user certification preferred
• Knowledge of Housing Quality Standards (HQS) and building codes/standards
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, procedures, and best practices
• Experience managing construction projects with tight schedules and budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of safety and environmental regulations in the construction industry
