Day to Day:
• TRAVEL: 50-75% travel. Anywhere from a few weeks up to several months. Weeks to months-notice for all travel aside from a few emergency cases.
• Manages on-site project staff and contractors
• Manages multiple concurrent projects within the project schedule, specifications, and budget
• Develops and maintains an effective relationship with customer
• Reports field activities to Project Managers including status, schedule, and client concerns
• Identifies and documents potential or current project issues
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy working environment by adhering to, recognizing, and enforcing safety regulations of the client, SDIC, and OSHA
Further Description:
The Construction Manager oversees field construction activities for the installation of Kilns, Furnaces, Car moving equipment, Fume Exhaust Systems, refractory repairs, service calls, etc.
They are heavily involved in planning, organizing and controlling projects either onsite or internally. The construction manager is responsible for field construction activities from the beginning to the end of a project. Reports to the Manager of Construction.

Required Skills & Experience
Must-Haves:
• At least a high school diploma with 3-5 years of experience, technical education is preferred (trade school/associates degree or higher)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience supervising machinery installation.
• Understanding of project drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• OSHA 30
• United States Citizen (must be able to get a passport for international travel
• Computer skills - MS Office.
• A positive attitude with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
• Experience maintaining and servicing industrial heat treatment equipment
• Familiarity industrial safety practices (some training provided)
• Understanding of process controls systems, including PID controls, process sensing equipment, and final controls elements
• Understanding of basic combustion, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Understanding of construction equipment details for inspection, operation and maintenance of equipment
