Title: Construction Manager Trainee
Location: West Houston TX - Katy, Cypress, Hockley areas - report from home to local residential sites.
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 base salary plus a per-home bonus. Your end-of-year W2 depends on how many homes you complete and home-building efficiency. Typically, around $75-100K 1st year.

Position Description: As a Construction Manager Trainee, you will work under the supervision of a Construction Manager to assist in the management of new home construction and customer service. This position may lead to a Construction Manager once key core competencies are met including availability of a community, management of the construction of new homes, ability to manage trade and vendor base, and managing customer service in assigned subdivisions. As CMT you will schedule new home construction and adjust daily to achieve the forecasted delivery date. Manage sub-contractors and vendors. Inspect quality of workmanship and correct as needed. Communicate with Sales Associates and Management stages of construction, buyer walk dates, and closing dates. Read and interpret plans and specifications. Inspect and count material as delivered. Maintain a clean and professional job site. Enforce safety rules and regulations. Communicate courteously and effectively with customers. Recruit new labor subcontractors to assist in the construction of homes. Hold sub-contractors and vendors accountable for meeting deadlines and maintaining company's quality standards. You must be self-motivated and have a sense of urgency to keep construction on schedule!

Requirements:
• Management experience and customer service skills.
• Mechanical aptitude to understand construction science and systems.
• You do not need construction experience in this position! Company wants to train you from the ground up making it a great opportunity for a variety of different backgrounds.
• BS degree preferred or equivalent military experience.
