Insight Global's client is looking for a Construction Site Manager to join their team. The client is a full-service design and build company specializing in power system design and installation. They specialize on Emergency Standby Power Systems with Engine Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) equipment, Lightning Protection and Grounding systems for various federal government projects. Their projects range between 18 - 24 months and take them all over the country. This is a full-time, site-based travel position located in the continental U.S. Per diem and travel subsistence provided per company guidelines.

The traveling Construction Site Manager position works closely with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent to ensure timely, high quality, and successful completion of the project. The individual will be responsible for on-site management of electrical power system construction.
Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation and Construction Site Management:
Coordinate onsite logistics, including equipment, material delivery, and site safety
Set up and maintain construction site facilities and temporary systems as needed
Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, standards, requirements, and applicable regulations
Monitor the progress of installations, including uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), generators, transformers, and distribution systems
- Quality Assurance/Safety/Security:
Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure work meets industry standards and project requirements
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and rectify issues promptly
Implement project safety plans, enforce safety protocols, and promote a culture of safety among the construction team
Conduct safety briefings, hazard assessments, and accident investigations when necessary
Act as main onsite point of contact for site access and security requirement compliance
Communicate security requirements to all employees, vendors, and subcontractors accessing site and coordinate security badging needs with HR
- Schedule, Materials, and Equipment Management:
Ensure construction activities adhere to the project schedule and deadlines
Coordinate with other project stakeholders to avoid delays and minimize disruptions
Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site and local warehouse and perform equipment inventories upon arrival
Ensure proper storage, handling, and utilization of materials and tools
- Subcontractor, Vendor, and Client Management:
Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely and efficient project execution
Review and approve subcontractor work and invoices
Act as a point of contact for client representatives and officials visiting the site
Provide updates on construction progress and address client inquiries and concerns
- Other Misc Tasks:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project drawings, shop drawings, and plans
Generate daily and weekly progress reports, lead weekly progress meetings with stakeholders, and update project management on site activities
Identify and address construction issues, deviations from plans, and unforeseen challenges promptly
Propose and implement effective solutions to keep the project on track
Monitor and control project costs by tracking expenses, managing resources efficiently, and avoiding overruns
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits
Lead and mentor site staff, including Site Supervisors and General Foremen

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical and Mechanical aptitudes are preferred
- PE, PMP and/or Electrical License are pluses
- 3+ years experience in the electrical construction industry, experience with critical power systems preferred
- Knowledge of MS Office, Project and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of UL, NEMA, OSHA and NEC standards
- Ability to travel to each assigned site during project duration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate, supervise and manage installation team and subcontractors
- Ability to make independent decisions in planning, organizing, and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems
