We are looking for a Consulting Automation System Engineer at our facility in Alpharetta, GA , to follow customer requirements, specifications, and proposals to design automation systems for customers' application with a focus on creating control concepts, automation and network architecture and software creation.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Work closely with drafters to create outline drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, test plans and O&M manuals for the customers.
• Apply the latest industrial solutions and new product developments within Siemens Energy.
• Plan workload and specific tasks and interface directly with customers, sale representatives, vendors, project managers, and field service personnel.
• Execute highly customized production orders under minimum supervision by utilizing product design guides and guidelines, industry standards and best engineering practices.
• Provide engineering expertise to drafters and designers on highly customized production orders.
• Provide engineering support for Proposals, Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Field Service and Quality Assurance groups during project cycle, as well as provide technical content for customized product manuals.
• 30% domestic/international travel required.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience.
• Full term of experience must include: Automation project execution;
• COMOS and Plant Automation Accelerator customizations development and project execution;
• SIMATIC PCS7, SIMATIC WinCC, SINAMICS STARTER for drive setup, SIMATIC CFC and SFC editor, SIMATIC Hardware Configurator, Process Tag Types and Control Module Types, SINAMICS;
• TIA Portal;
• Automation Hardware Siemens: S7-400, S7-300, S7-1200 and S7-1500;
• Industrial Network: 4-20mA HART, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, CAN Open and MODBUS;
• develop strategies and lead R&D projects for automation and process industries;
• programming languages and automation technologies like CFC and SFC, Ladder, FBD, IL, C, C++, VB Script, Java;
• advanced process control solutions (APC) for the Fiber industry; and
• SIPAPER DCS and SIPAPER DRIVES - Automation Solutions for Fiber.
• 30% domestic/international travel required.
