Job Summary:
This position has responsibility for collecting, organizing, formatting, and editing all content for different NEXCOM system-wide marketing channels, including but not limited to catalogs, circulars, tabloids, flyers, web, social media, and email.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the collecting, organizing, formatting, and editing of copy/content for print media using a Macintosh workstation and Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Assists in the development and implementation of copy standards and processes.
- Proofs for accuracy of content and corrects as needed.
- Assists in organizing media into correct channels/versions of media.
- Ensures all standards/formatting styles are adhered to in all media.
- Assists in the collecting, organizing, formatting, and editing of copy/content for digital media using a PC workstation.
- Formats, edits, and loads content for the retail web store.
- Manages a content and project schedule.
- Assists in the development and implementation of web content standards and processes.
- Assists in tracking content/assets where necessary.
- Coordinates closely with the web producer and the rest of the web team.
- Assists in the collecting, organizing, formatting, and editing of all image content for print and digital media.
- Understands all prepress requirements, including but not limited to color correction and photo manipulation, and completes all work necessary to output a press-ready digital file within the printer's deadlines.
- Understands all digital imaging requirements, including but not limited to color correction and photo manipulation, and completes all work necessary to output web-ready images and files.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requires a total of 4 years of combined experience as indicated below:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in administrative, professional, technical, or other responsible work that required the applicant to demonstrate proficient skill in coordinating and managing project schedules; communication (writing and editing) and organization and the ability to work with multiple teams/departments and coordinate different projects.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: 1 year of education above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months experience. Up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, Multimedia or other related fields for 3 years of general experience.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of experience in web content creation or management, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes or e-mail software, basic knowledge of HTML and other web-based technologies and four-color process printing processes.
