Plant Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to deploy and lead the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including creating a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Each day, you will mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. You will also showcase your expertise by leading programs and projects to improve and sustain local business performance. i will change....... The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion NEMA Motors division in Flowery Branch, GA. Main stakeholders are both our internal and external customers. You will be mainly accountable for: • Identifying and working to remove roadblocks that prevent the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives and overseeing cases of conflicting priorities. • Promoting and leading improvement programs and projects within your own area of responsibility, with a hands-on and problem-solving approach. • Leading a systematic fact-based approach to identify and evaluate opportunities for future improvement within the local organization. • Providing guidance and supporting towards disseminating a continuous improvement mindset and culture at all levels, activities, and functions to promote behavioral change for continuous performance improvement at local level.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business or related field STRONGLY preferred.
  • 5+ related manufacturing experience required.
  • 2+ managerial experience preferred.
  • Lean Master Certification strongly preferred; will be a requirement if not presently held.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Process Mapping, Design of Experiment, SPC, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Supplier Certification Programs, Power BI, IoT, and SAP.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
