The Contracts Specialist, reporting to the Director of Agreements for the Mass General Brigham Clinical Trials Office (CTO), is a professional who will handle tasks to support and manage the CTO's role in clinical research contracting and is a great opportunity for anyone hoping to pursue work in transactional law. This includes negotiating confidential disclosure agreements, site agreements, subcontracts, and amendments. The Contracts Specialist also assists with the signature process for all agreement types.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist CTO agreement associates to manage a large volume of confidentiality agreements, clinical trial agreements, clinical research support agreements, and amendments;

2. Create and set up Insight records for agreements, and update notes in Insight frequently;

3. Follow up regularly with industry sponsors and all relevant parties to ensure timely review and execution of agreements;

4. Prepare status reports for CTO agreement associates and industry sponsors;

5. Generate, negotiate, and finalize the terms of confidentiality agreements, amendments and site agreements under the oversight of CTO agreement associates;

6. Prepare final documents for execution upon review and approval by CTO agreement associates and circulate those documents for signatures;

7. Upload final documents into Insight;

8. Distribute fully-executed agreements to all relevant parties;

9. Assist in the management of agreements for multi-center clinical trials;

10. Interface with sponsors, principal investigators, and their support staff; and

11. Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of experience required.

2. Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to establish priorities.

3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

4. Flexibility and ability to manage numerous tasks concurrently and ability to act cooperatively with many individuals.

5. Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and to perform with accuracy.

5. Thorough knowledge of word processing (MS Office - Word and Excel, and database management) and willingness to learn.

6. Experience in a hospital or health care setting is desirable.

7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
