Control Room operator is responsible for operating the Copper and Molybdenum Crushing and Milling Plant, serving as both a control room operator and leveraging extensive experience in mineral processing operations, with a specialized focus on crushing and milling processes. Showcase proficiency in the intricacies of mineral processing workflows, ensuring optimal functionality of equipment and upholding rigorous production standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor all equipment in the control room to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
  • Monitor and control the crushing, milling, and flotation processes according to established procedures and parameters.
  • Adjust process variables and equipment settings to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections and checks of equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or process deviations.
  • Maintain accurate records of plant operations, process parameters, and production data.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Control Room Operator in a mineral processing plant, preferably in Copper and Molybdenum processing.
  • Strong understanding of crushing, milling, and flotation processes and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and control logic diagrams.
  • Experience with SCADA systems and DCS (Distributed Control Systems) for process monitoring and control.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to mineral processing operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with other operators and maintenance personnel.


Education and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training or certification in mineral processing or a related field preferred.


Criteria/Conditions:
  • This is a Safety sensitive role.
  • Work may be performed in a manufacturing plant which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electric shock, toxic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles.
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, see, and work in confined spaces.
  • Occasionally may be asked required to life moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
  • Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and other protective equipment as required.
  • May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation.
