Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Instrumentation Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedure

• Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule

• Conduct systems integration of the I&C system, including programming of PLCs/PCs and HMI customizing for various control software program

• Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all discipline

• Write and edit I&C specifications, and select equipment and monitoring/control device

• Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project document

• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed

• Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this position

• Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed

• Provide construction contract administration as needed

• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• PE

• Minimum of 5 years applicable experience

• PLC/WTP and WWTP software programming experience

• Hands-on experience designing I and C Systems, including schematics and loop

• Experience managing I and C project

• Knowledge of Modicon, Wonderware and Interlution

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office product

• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience with an A&E/Consulting Engineering firm

• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) / Distributed Control System (DCS) programming experience

• SCADA HMI configuration experience

• Experience utilizing AutoCAD, Plant3D, or REVIT for design document generation

• Design or commissioning experience in Data Center Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS), PLC-based Building Management Systems (BMS), and/or Direct Digital Control Building Automation Systems (DDC BAS)

The expected compensation range for this position is $79,051- $146,809 per year depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
