Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Control Systems Section Manager, we'll count on you to:

  • Take responsibility for operations of control systems section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
  • Function as a control systems design lead and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities
  • Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
  • Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews
  • See that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system
  • Implement, monitor and support company policy
  • Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel
  • Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts
  • Coordinate the work of the control systems design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project, and assist with capturing additional controls design and systems integration work
  • Write and edit control systems specifications, and select equipment and monitoring/control devices
  • Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
  • Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
  • Provide construction contract administration as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous work experience with an A&E/Consulting Engineering firm.
  • Preference given to local candidates.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 10 years experience
  • Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Good leadership and organizational skills
