Daikin Applied is seeking a Controls Application Engineer in our Washington DC office! This role is responsible for providing technical expertise on company products to sales representatives in the selection and application of business unit products to fulfill specific field requirements. The Controls Application Engineer will also provide strategies on how to position the product to effectively compete in the marketplace, as well as interact with customers to effectively demonstrate value of company product lines. Location: In office, Washington DC office in Bowie, MD.

What you will do:

• Provide timely support and technical guidance to field marketing requests in areas of product selection, pricing, and application
• Assist in product/system training and literature support development marketing assignments on directed basis
• Keep informed on new products and competitive models in the market place. Communicate and provides feedback to product management for product services requirements not met by current product line
• Provide team support in project negotiations in regard to strategy and tactics
• Develop, recommend, implement, and maintain approved data record systems to provide a marketing resource data base.
• Supervise personnel progress development, along with day-to-day work assignments to direct reports
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
• Create and maintain a program database
• Provide timely support and technical guidance for programing and networking needs

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4 Year bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
• 7 years related experience and/or training

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 - 160,000 (plus eligibility for annual bonus) in Maryland. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
