Your Role

Join Atlas Copco as a Control Checkout Technician where you will inspect, calibrate, and test the assembled control system software and hardware to ensure that is in accordance with the design specifications and functions properly on our engineered to order centrifual compressors. You will also confirm that the instruments, tubing, and valving are in accordance with the Process and Instrumentation schematic drawings. As part of the Controls Checkout team, you will report to the Controls Checkout Team Leader and work with the manufacturing and controls engineering team. This is an on-site position located in Voorheesville, NY.

• You will confirm that the wiring and electrical devices follow the wiring drawings and specifications.
• You will monitor the calibration of pressure, temperature, level, and vibration and switch devices to the specifications.
• You will calibrate the actuators and positioners per the specifications and confirm they're correctly functioning.
• You will load software into the PLC and confirm it is operating correctly.
• You will help with any troubleshooting.
• You will participate in customer witness testing.

To succeed, you will need

• You have 3+ years of experience in instrumentation or controls installation, setup, troubleshooting, or Maintenace.
• You hold an associate's degree in electrical, electronic, or controls technology.
• You can read tubing and process drawings.
• You can read schematic blue prints.
• You are proficient in the operation of Allen Bradley PLC software and hardware.
