The Electrical Instrumentation Technician will support the Engineering and Electrical teams and work closely with Maintenance and Production on plant controls and automation systems.

Instrument technicians troubleshoot equipment instrumentation, control systems (DCS/PLC/MLC) and ladder logic. Instrument Technicians receive very little descriptive information concerning the production problem and learn to calibrate, install and maintain a variety of instruments used to measure temperature, level, pressure, pH, conductivity and flow. He or she will install & maintain field devices; monitor specific equipment; and may monitor and replace control valves. Instrument Technicians participate in safety meetings and training activities and follow established safety and operating procedures and practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Associate's or Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Chemical Engineering or Instrumentation Technology

2 years controls or instrumentation experience

Proven computer and networking skills

Knowledge and understanding of electrical standards

Knowledge of power distribution systems in a manufacturing environment

Superior technical skills (mechanical/electrical).

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Highly motivated self-started
