Insight Global is currently seeking a Controls Engineer to support a large car manufacturer here in Louisville, KY. This individual will support a growing engineering department focused on improving facility efficiency and supporting a growing team. It can be expected that this engineer will be out in the plant interacting with engineers, technicians, tradesmen, and operators to understand project needs. They will respond to breakdowns, diagnose the issue, and act as the technical lead monitoring the health of the shop. Ideally, we are looking for an organized, self-driven problem solver to join the organization to support the production lines, ensuring all methodologies are safe, effective, and efficient. This engineer will be hands on troubleshooting PLCs, robot and other automation problems as well utilizing plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, program new installations and conveyor systems.

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer
• Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (Allen Bradley and Siemens)
• Ability to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
Experience in a manufacturing setting - preferably automotive
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering
- Programming experience - C#, Python, C++, etc
Fanuc Robot or VFD Experience
