An entry level cook requires good communication and basic culinary skills. The desired cook candidate will have some cooking experience, but not required. An entry level cook should have some professional knowledge or understanding of cooking ingredients and procedures. Entry level cook will work in the prep kitchen, single stations in the kitchen and require significant supervision and training.

Wage Information:

The salary range for this position is $20.29 to $26.00. The starting rate for this position is $20.29. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.
