We are seeking a energetic and experienced Cook to provide nutritious meals and snacks to our patients, maintain a clean kitchen and dining room and who is able to follow recipes, meal and diet plans.

Typical Dietary Cook hours are 5:30am-1pm and 11am-6pm.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Education: Must be able to operate equipment used in serving and preparation of food. Must have the ability to work effectively with and for people. Serve Safe Certification required in first year of employment, provided by the facility.

Experience: Two (2) years food preparation experience preferred. Healthcare or volume food preparation experience preferred.

License/Certification: Serve Safe is strongly desired.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is generally works in the kitchen with exposure to heat from ovens, hot foods, cleaning chemicals, equipment and metal objects. Employees also work with knives, mixers, dicer's, slicers and other sharp objects. The noise level is moderate, but can be loud at times depending on specific times of day.

This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential. This individual must have the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Professional demeanor and appearance required.
