Description

Manages the Absence Management System & coordinates directly with campuses to ensure data aligns with absences/vacancies throughout the district.

  • Manage the lifecycle of substitute employees to ensure an active pool of candidates are available.
  • Assist the Substitute Supervisor with the design and execution of Aesop Professional Development for campuses.
  • Coordinate communication pieces for delivery to employees to engage active substitute pool.
  • Monitor & work directly with campuses utilizing the Aesop system for correct absence data in Aesop to align with true vacancies/absences reported throughout the district.
  • Work directly with Aesop to run requested data reports in a timely manner.
  • Provide excellent timely customer service to all substitute and campuses by responding to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries to assist with Substitute related topics, while remaining impartial and confidential.
  • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly teacher absence/vacancy trends against the current fill rate for evaluation of program.
  • Assist with public presentations, trainings, orientations, processing, and departmental training.
  • Create supporting materials/media (audio, video, simulations, etc.) to assist campuses and substitute teachers.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a directly related field preferred.
  • 3-5 direct experience preferred.
  • Ability to employ a big-picture focus to truly understand and align with department goals to execute strategies systematically.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strategic, consultative approach to resolving Substitute related issues with employees.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate strategic thinking in a fast paced work environment.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks and to work under time pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities in organization, management, communication, public relations and interpersonal relations.
