Supports schools, families, and community partners in their efforts to assist students in achieving educational excellence and to build effective partnerships between home, school and community partners. Conducts asset mapping, needs assessments, and gap analyses to identify McKinney-Vento (MV) Program and district partnership needs; and utilizes a data-informed and equity-based approach to matching partners with families. Identifies, brokers, and supports mutually beneficial partnerships between McKinney-Vento Program, community organizations and families, including oversight of formal and informal agreements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Researches effective instructional, enrichment, student/family support programs and makes recommendations regarding the implementation of similar program elements.
  • Assists in identifying and brokering community organizations, social services agencies and businesses who might contribute student/family, school and district goals.
  • Facilitates matching of student and school needs with partnerships; promotes the development of mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Collaborates with partners to identify, monitor, adjust, and implement efficient and equitable processes to ensure student, family, and program access to partnerships; and ensures that services and supports meet district policies and procedural directives.
  • Facilitates the alignment and integration of partnership activities and programming with program and district goals, procedures and structures.
  • Facilitates coordination and accountability with/of partners to ensure programs meet deliverables, requirements and regulations in order to support program safety, effectiveness and quality of school-linked learning activities.
  • Supports the evaluation of partnerships through coordination of the collection of data, timely submission of reports and gathering of other critical/required information: Summarizes and conducts basic analysis of program data.
  • Facilitates meetings, networks, and trainings in order to build program, district, and partner capacity to collaborate and support program and district goals.
  • Provides schools technical assistance and training to facilitate community outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Serves as liaison with program personnel, local agencies, business/organization partnerships, and the community.


FOCUS AREAS:

Community Partnerships Office

This position will provide direct support to families experiencing homelessness by coordination with Administration, Program Staff, and Community Partners to obtain shelter.
    • Working with City, County, and Non-Profit Partners to seek shelter, motel, and supporting housing vouchers.
    • Responsible for researching shelter options, knowing capacity limits, referral process and coordination of families getting into shelter.
    • Works closely with the outreach team to know where families are in their need for shelter.
    • Knowledge of Google Sheets and Google Drive is essential.


Community Partnerships Warehouse
This position is responsible for the daily operations, organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
    • Maintaining supply inventory, placing orders to fill the shelves, seeking donations from various community partners, picking up donations or shopping for needed items.
    • Responsible for filling internal supply orders put in by the outreach team which includes filling backpacks with school supplies, packing hygiene bags and filling food boxes.
    • Working with community partners, donors, adult and student volunteers and maintaining accurate accounting of supplies coming in and going out of the warehouse.
    • Must be able to obtain an APS driver certification to drive APS vehicles.


PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with partnership identification, development and accountability.
  • Experience with needs assessment, gaps analysis, and inventory management
  • Knowledge of school, district and/or community resources, services, and supports.
  • Understanding of equitable best practices that support student/family access to resources.
  • Experience in conducting assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring processes of programs.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work on multiple projects and coordinate the work of others.
  • Knowledge of word processing, database and spreadsheet software.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in education, health, social work, psychology, counseling, or relater field; OR
  • Associate's degree and nine (9) years of experience in education, health, social work, psychology, counseling or related field; OR
  • High School Diploma and 12 years of experience in education, health, social work, psychology, counseling or related field.
  • Experience in program development/management and community partnership development.
