Position Summary

The Coordinator of Compliance, Academic Success, & Eligibility, in conjunction with the Assistant Athletic Directors of Compliance and Academic-Success within the Athletics Department, provides academic advising and support services to the university's student-athlete population and monitors progress towards degree of Bulldog student-athletes. The student development program is committed to supporting the academic progress of student-athletes and the achievement of their educational objectives.
This position will support daily functions of NCAA Compliance, SAAC , Student- Athlete Services, development of ongoing programming for student athletes, academic support for student-athletes, and other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience/Skills

Master's degree. Will also consider a Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of NCAA compliance experience and/or working with students at the postsecondary level.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills

The preferred candidate will have a Master's degree and 3-5 years of experience with NCAA Compliance, preferably at a Division I or II institution. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse student athletes, coaches and administrators within a team atmosphere.
A strong working knowledge of MS Office is essential. Knowledge of and/or experience with ARMS , Slate, Banner, NCAA Eligibility Center and Compliance Assistant is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Candidate must possess a working knowledge of NCAA Division I and/or II rules and regulations.
  • Candidate must possess strong investigative and analytical skills to identify and assess facts and determine outcomes.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to present clear and accurate information when conducting training for various groups is essential.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with a wide range of constituents.
  • Must also demonstrate strong written communications skills.
  • Candidate must possess strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize and achieve deadlines on multiple projects.
  • Must also be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment including but not limited to, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registrar's Office.
  • Candidate must have a strong commitment to integrity.
  • Must also demonstrate the ability to deal with sensitive and stressful situations in a professional and confidential manner, as the person in this role will be required to deal with confidential information with discretion.
