Position Summary

Provides safe efficient age specific clinical, reception, communication and guest relations support using verbal, electronic, and written techniques to maintain the operations of the assigned area.
Essential Functions
  • Assist nursing supervisor with patient throughput staffing decisions and clinical operations.
  • Oversees the general environment of care, cleanliness and upkeep.
  • Establishes, maintains and oversees filing system.
  • Facilitates communication and efficient unit operations.
  • Responsible for inventory management.
  • Utilizes timekeeping/scheduling system as defined I work environment.
  • Trains new staff on office protocols and safety procedures.
  • Participates in performance and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures implementation of business policies and procedures for the daily operations of the department.
  • Evaluates daily workflow and assigns tasks to support staff.
  • Knowledge, observation and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and Joint Commission mandates.
  • Utilization and management of various IT systems to assist in streamlining data management and sharing of data.
  • Customer service and experience during phone conversations and meetings.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Education
  • High School Equivalent / GED . Required and
  • Other Accredited Program Completion of an accredited medical assistant program. Required and
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3+ years experience in a health care setting. Required and
  • Experience with medical billing, preferably IDX Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities. Required
  • Excellent organizational skills. Required
  • Demonstrated customer service experience and PC skills. Required
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with persons in stressful situations. Required
  • Ability to problem-solve. Required
  • Medical terminology. Preferred

  • Pediatric experience. Preferred
