Job Summary:

Responsible for transporting and delivering goods to our customers, included but not limited to mail, parcels, supplies and laboratory items. This position requires working independently while delivering the highest quality customer service in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Completes courier assignments as per work schedule, servicing the hospital and surrounding clinics/offices
• Responsible to deliver goods to customers in the most efficient and timely manner
• Pick up and deliver packages, mail, laboratory specimens, linens and other deliverables
• Responsible to post outgoing mail utilizing a postage machine
• Responsible to sort and deliver mail to the appropriate location(s) or person(s)
• Ensure package safety and observe transportation requirements, such as with frozen or perishable deliveries
• Ensure compliance with all safety/traffic regulations, must comply with NYS driving laws
• Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicle and mileage documentation
• Responsible to maintain the vehicles condition, washing, cleaning interior, documenting repairs, scheduling routine service, etc.
• Perform other duties as required

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School Diploma required
• Valid NYS driver's license
• Possess a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Safe driving skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment and always in a professional manner delivering the highest-level customer service
• Must complete all mandatory education and requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 40 per week
