General Summary/Overview:

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Courier to join our dedicated team! In this role, you will be responsible for transporting mail, packages, medical specimens, and essential documents between our facilities and external locations. This position runs Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, offering a stable schedule and the chance to be part of a critical team that supports the day-to-day operations of our medical facilities.

Regular travel will be required between our Merrimack Valley/Tuscan sites, which include Haverhill, Andover, Lawrence, North Andover, Newburyport, and Salem, NH, with occasional trips to the Greater Boston area as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive an assigned vehicle to transport and deliver mail, packages, medical specimens, and other materials to designated locations.
  • Retrieve mail, packages, and specimens from assigned sites and deliver them to the appropriate departments.
  • Perform urgent "stat" deliveries as directed by the Facilities Service Clerk.
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all team members and external contacts.
  • Remain adaptable with shift coverage and assist with overtime needs when necessary.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned, such as office and furniture moves, when required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and proof of insurance required.
  • Must have your own reliable vehicle to complete deliveries across assigned routes.
  • Smartphone required for communication and GPS navigation.


Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to safely navigate and park in tight spaces, including parallel parking and maneuvering through heavy pedestrian areas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff and community members.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in line with established policies and procedures.
