Creative Arts Therapist - Level I

Job Description

Will provide inpatient admission assessment, treatment plan, and clinical progress note documentation. develop/implement daily therapy group programing for inpatient units that includes weekend coverage. May practice with LCAT - permit under supervision by a qualified therapist. Engage with patients to provide treatment & positive hospital experience.

• Provide a variety of therapy sessions that engages patients and provide positive therapeutic patient experience
• perform required daily group programming that meets the need of inpatient psychiatric population
• Perform required assessments & clinical documentation
• Attend interdisciplinary treatment team meetings

Minimum Qualifications

Assignment Level I
1. A valid License or Limited Permit issued by the New York State Education Department to practice as a Creative Arts Therapist. Employees working with a Limited Permit must obtain
Licensure within two years from their date of appointment.

Department Preferences

• Experience in inpatient psychiatry, crisis management and providing patient centered group therapy.
• Weekends and evenings required. Art Therapist preferred.
