Amazon Shopping Videos (ASV) is seeking a customer-obsessed creative development lead with a proven track record of building innovative formats in the digital, linear, or streaming TV space. As a development lead on ASV they will leverage audience insights to source, create, and package shoppable programming for US and International markets across multiple surfaces, e.g. mobile, desktop, and living room devices. They know how to optimize content for performance and take viewing surface into consideration when developing format ideas.

Continuous testing and learning is paramount and this role will be responsible for maintaining a content experimentation pipeline, sourcing content in collaboration with ASV production, creator teams, and external partners. They will work closely with the ASV Insights Manager, and Business Intelligence Engineers, leveraging performance data to inform creative development as they drive projects from conception to greenlight.

To be successful in this role, a candidate must think outside the box but work within business parameters to support ROI. It is critical that the holder of this role have a deep understanding of the current digital, social, streaming marketplace and live shopping apps. They must bring strong industry relationships with agencies and production companies to the table as well as the ability to build new relationships with external vendors and negotiate contract terms. This role requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills as they will draft one sheets to justify investment and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders from production, creator BD, marketing, PR, product, and monetization. The creative development lead will be expected to regularly present progress docs to leadership and contribute to ASV business reviews.

Key job responsibilities

* Manage ASV content team's experimentation pipeline

* Leverage daily, weekly, and monthly analytics to optimize creative pipeline (short and long form); drive projects from concept to greenlight

* Build out show/series budgets

* Provide creative feedback on concept pitches from external or internal partners.

* Maintain a vetted roster of production companies

* Negotiate contract terms

* Collaborate with monetization to develop content for ad partners

* Deliver frequent presentation to leadership including new proposals, program reviews, post-campaign evaluation

* Contribute to strategy docs and business reviews

* Work with legal to clear archival content for new distribution

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of creative executive experience

- 5+ years of series development experience

- Experience working as a producer, creative executive, or a similar role

- Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs

- Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development production and post production

- Ability to use measurement tools/data dashboards to analyze impact of creative projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of the US media landscape

- Experience developing content that is award nominated, or from a broadcast network or streaming platform

- Strong working relationships with the creative community - network of agents, production companies, writers, publishers and creators

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
