Essential Job Functions

Specialist needed to translate complex data and information into visually engaging and easily understandable design solutions (custom infographics, graphics, graphs, and charts) which would then be applied to business development materials such as client and pitch presentations, marketing, and event collateral - across print and digital channels.

The Specialist would advise subject matter experts across all practices to focus on how to visually conceptualize content and key, differentiated selling points vs. template formatting fixes. This position assists development teams develop, refine, and ideate on custom visual solutions for client and prospect initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Partner with a diverse team of business development stakeholders to understand goals, strategies and target audiences.
  2. Create engaging client presentations and pitch decks which translate brand stories and data into clear, compelling visual presentations.
  3. Create and maintain templates, pitch decks, documents, custom presentations and graphics.
  4. Develop branded charts, graphs, tables, icons, illustrations and infographics.
  5. Know our brand guidelines inside and out - be a key brand evangelist and ensure consistent visual branding across all presentations.
  6. Actively share design recommendations and rationale in brainstorming sessions.
  7. Source, edit and organize assets in the digital asset management library.
  8. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company, including its brand, offerings, audiences and industries.
  9. Coordinate on special requests with the Document Services and Presentation Design teams.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • A B.A. or B.F.A. in graphic design or related field, with coursework/experience in marketing/communications a plus
  • 5+ years of corporate presentation design experience
  • Excellent client service orientation with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of composition, balance, typography and color theory and the ability to explain these concepts to stakeholders
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Strict attention to detail - proofreading skills required
  • Must include link to portfolio in resume/application which illustrates your ability to:
    • Distill complex information into clean, clear and engaging infographics
    • Follow existing brand guidelines and flex appropriately

Preferred
  • Experience working in professional or financial services.

Technologies/Software
    • Required: Mastery of PowerPoint and Excel
    • Proven skills in Word and Adobe CC (specifically Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
  • Experience with digital asset management preferred.

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary.
