Natixis CIB Americas has an opportunity to join the Credit Risk team as a Credit Risk Chief Operating Officer directly supporting the Chief Credit Officer, Americas, and teams. He/she/they will be responsible for the administration of Credit Risk (“CR”) across the portfolio as well as monitoring, control, governance, support, development and facilitation of the CR function in helping the Credit Risk management in prioritizing key strategic initiatives.

  • In this role, the Credit Risk Chief Operating Officer will provide leadership in the administration of Credit Risk including strong experience assessing credit risk, managing regulatory frameworks, portfolio management frameworks and other elements of managing credit risk across an organization. Credit Administration ensures appropriate Credit Risk standards across the portfolio for underwriting and monitoring portfolio of credit risk.
  • The candidate in this role will have management of key control, governance and oversight functions and activities across the portfolio.
  • Provide active leadership on credit risk-related regulatory or other supervisory oversight matters across the portfolio. Ensure that audit & inspections recommendations (from regulators, Loan Review, Natixis/BPCE Inspection General, and external auditors) are properly managed and closed in a timely fashion.
  • Analyzes changes in driven by the regulatory environment and its impact on Business and Credit Risk setup, and provides solutions to implement relevant changes in coordination with Business and other support functions.
  • Review front-to-back processes, working with Front Office and other support groups to streamline workflows and controls to ensure regulatory compliance by the Business and Credit Risk.
  • Manage Credit Risk Policies and Procedures (“P&P”) for the platform including documentation, communication, and governance while coordinating with all constituents globally and across the platform.
  • Be a change agent responsible for supporting Credit Risk development by managing certain Credit Risk projects and initiatives. Represent Credit Risk in the planning, coordination and delivery of strategic projects to develop/optimize and improve the function and processes.
  • Responsible for reviewing & implementing proper processes and controls within CR, supervising the operational risk for Credit Risk activities in coordination with the dedicated Operating Risk team.
  • Assists in the steering of local new projects and global projects requiring the involvement of Credit Risk; helps to organize and communicate business priorities for CR.
  • Follows and assists the Chief Credit Risk Officer in preparing documentation/presentations/budgetary exercises.
  • Act as liaison with local and Head Office support departments including (IT, Back Office, Middle Office, Risk, Compliance, Legal).


The salary range at the Director-level for this position will be between $185,000 - $240,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.

The salary range for at the ED-level for this position will be between $245,000 - $300,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.

Profil et compétences requises

Extensive experience in Credit Risk with 10+ years in direct roles managing Credit Risk in either Corporate Banking Front Office or Credit Risk
5+ s.
Solid understanding of Regulatory Landscape and their impacts on business models and infrastructure.
Sound knowledge of Credit Risk activities and front-to-back processes and risks/controls around them.
Bachelor’s degree
Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation skills; able to work collaboratively with business line executives and cross functions.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey thoughts clearly and succinctly and to communicate pertinent complex information in a clear and organized manner.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment multi-cultural environment.
Strong project management skills, organized with strong attention to detail.
