Job Description

Critical Care Physician: The Program in Trauma at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recrutiting for a full-time Surgical Critical Care Faculty Member at UM Captial Regional Health Center (UMCRH).



This position requires you to have board certification/eligibility by the American Board of Surgery with added qualification in Surgical Critical Care, Fellowship training in trauma/surgical critical care, or related work experience and demonstrated commitment toward research. Applicants with surgtical critical care experience will be most competitive. This position requires a medical degree from a recogniaed accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strpmg cp,,ot,emt tp [atoemt care amd teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting.



Clinical responsibilities include trauma, emergency general surgery and critical care. Resident/student education and research are also core components of the position. The UMCRH Trauma Center and Shock Trauma Center are the two busiest in the state of Maryland, with a good mix of penetrating and blunt mechanisms of injury.



Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurated with selected candidate's experience. A competitive salary is being offered. The position is located near Washington, D.C. and the Largo area.
