The role you'll contribute:

Performs direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with RN or Physician. Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating and collaborating with the team to meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient. Orders, receives and stocks supplies for the department/unit. Assists support staff with filing, medical records and daily tasks as assigned.

  • Performs a variety of technical tasks (i.e. IV insertion, splinting, wound care, etc.) as directed by the RN or physician according to established clinic policies, procedures and standards to provide quality patient care within hospital and/or department guidelines.
  • Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members. Assists care team in achieving daily patient and family goals.
  • Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient/family observations in an ongoing fashion to assist in the treatment of patients. Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.
  • Demonstrates effective use of clinical strategies to insure patient and associate safety.


Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
  • High School Diploma and or GED
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for HealthCare Providers
  • Emergency Medical Technician Certificate and IV Therapy Certificate or EMT-A or EMT-I or Paramedic Certificate
