Custodian

Location: 749 E Industrial Parkway, Manchester, NH 03109

Minimum Level of Education: High School

Compensation: $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience

Title: Custodian

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• To maintain a quality environment, to promote safety, security, and excellence in standards for the daily operation of an educational facility

• Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and safety

• Keeps the grounds free from trash

• Disinfects toilets and bathroom floors daily, and cleans all sanitary fixtures in assigned areas

• Maintains appearance of all windows, walls, and doors, on a daily basis

• Reports major repairs needed promptly to Maintenance Supervisor

• Wipe mirrors and windows

• Restocking all disposables such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.

• Organize the classrooms and make sure that all equipment has been sanitized and placed in the appropriate areas.

• Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions

• Positive and encouraging in disposition

• Knowledge of methods, materials, and electrically powered equipment used in custodial activities.

• Duties of position requires frequent stooping, kneeling, squatting, reaching above head and forward, use hand strength to grasp and climb ladders, twist or bend neck or trunk more than the average person, occasionally lift or move up to 90 pounds such as salt or bulk furniture

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Type: On-site

• Hours per day: 6-9AM and 5-8PM
