POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the facilities team, you have the primary responsibility of supporting the distribution center operations within the realm of environmental safety, preventative maintenance and repair, and general upkeep of the building. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining an environmentally safe workspace by ensuring designated areas are clean, sanitized, and orderly. The Custodian will maintain the overall cleanliness of the breakroom/ restrooms as well as entire property WebstaurantStore Oklahoma DC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must be familiar and able to use tools and supplies necessary for cleanliness of the facility
• Track inventory levels for janitorial supplies and provide recommendations to their Supervisor
• Regularly clean and sanitize all common areas in/on company property
• Maintain organization of janitorial supplies and janitorial closet
• Maintain cleanliness of the breakroom and restrooms throughout shift
• Keep exterior of the building clean and orderly including perimeter of the building, parking lot, and fence line
• Complete warehouse floor scrubbing by using the ride-on floor scrubber
• Assist with high priority facilities requests
• May be required to get supplies for equipment and materials necessary to complete projects
• Perform other tasks given to you by the Maintenance supervisor
• Must be able to safely work around heavy equipment including forklifts/reach trucks etc.
• Follows safe work practices and recognizes hazards
• Retain current knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all warehouse employees
• Trainable on powered industrial equipment such as forklifts
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have regular and predictable on-site attendance
• Must be able to push and pull up to 150lbs.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 to 75lbs.
• Must be able to constantly bend, reach and stand throughout shift

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 8-12 hours/day depending on shift.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
