Job Title: Customer Service Advocate I

Location: Columbia, SC- 29229 (ONSITE)

Duration: 6 months contract

pay scale is $14-$15.50/hr

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Respond accurately, timely, and courteously to customer inquiries via telephone, written correspondence, web, or walk-in channels.
  • Document inquiries accurately for record-keeping purposes.
  • Initiate or process adjustments and conduct research to resolve inquiries effectively.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve customer problems.
  • Respond to priority inquiries and assist with special projects as directed by management.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding customer problems, questions, and needs.
  • Maintain accurate records on complaints and customer comments, making recommendations for changes to management.
  • Follow through on complaints until resolved or escalate to management as needed.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of quality work instructions and company policies.
  • Assist with process improvements by recommending changes in procedures and techniques.
  • Maintain departmental productivity, quality, and timeliness standards.
  • Identify and report suspected fraudulent activities and system errors to the appropriate departments.

Education and Experience:
  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred Education: Associate Degree.
  • Required Work Experience: None.
  • Preferred Work Experience: 2 years of customer service or call center experience.
