Customer Service Representative

Allied Sales & Service is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Theodore, AL!

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for addressing customer inquiries, as well as generating and following up on customer quotes.

What You'll Do:

• Generate quotes for products, systems and/or parts as requested by customers and/or sales team(s). (Process and follow up on all urgent customer requests within 24 hours).
• Address customer inquiries, including pricing and availability. Coordinate internally and externally for information as necessary.
• Research customer technical specifications and ensure proper equipment selection and sizing for each respective application.
• Interchange competitive brands to core OTC vendor product when possible.
• Provide competitive proposals by applying pricing directives.
• Act as subject matter expert for all key products within the segment: research and answer technical product or system queries to internal staff, coach and internal sales resources as necessary, etc.
• Provide Service Support - Central Dispatch, Customer Follow up, Lead Generation, Warranty Administration.
• All other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Associates (two-year technical school) degree or certificate in technical discipline such as mathematics, mechanical technology, or equivalent. (Bachelor's in mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Industrial Science or other technical discipline preferred)
• Demonstrated technical expertise in specified product segment
• Computer software skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe PDF and Infor SXE)
• Ability to work in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment
• Highly organized, with attention to detail
• Sense of urgency; responds to requests in a timely manner.
• Strong (email, phone, web and in person) communication and customer service skills. (Prior experience in a customer service role preferred).
