This position is full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 1 Dakota Drive, Lake Success, NY 11042.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
• Respond to complex customer calls
• Resolve customer service inquiries which could include:
  • Benefit and Eligibility information
  • Customer material requests - transfer them to the appropriate department
  • Scheduling patients for testing

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED
• 1+ years of customer service experience with analyzing and solving customer problems
• 6+ months of experience in an office setting environment, using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
• Basic proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
• Reside within a commutable distance to the office: 1 Dakota Drive, Lake Success, NY, 11042
• Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM from Monday - Friday
• Must be 18 years of age OR older

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience with working in Radiology
• 1+ years of experience with scheduling in a medical environment
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish

Soft Skills:

• Ability to multi - task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
• Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive

New York Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $16.00 - $23.94 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
