Cyber Security Analyst, local Chicago or ATX

Cyber Security Analyst plays a crucial role in protecting the organization's information systems and data from cyber threats. While regular working hours are defined, this is a position that requires participation in an on-call rotation with other team members.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience with endpoint protection (e.g. Defender), email security, and SIEM platforms.
Experience with cloud security practices and response is essential.
Applied knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and other security frameworks.
Understanding of networking principles and technologies like firewalls, VPNs, proxies, VPCs, and IDS/IPS.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelors or Associates degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), GIAC GCIH (Certified Incident Handler, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CompTIA Security+. Other certifications a plus such as CISM (ISACA Certified Information Security Manager)
