The Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering and Test (COMET) contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

Work as a Cybersecurity GRC Analyst supporting the COMET contract on the Kennedy Space Center. Primary function will be working to assess configuration changes to determine the associated compliance or cybersecurity risk impacts, and working with the ISSM and GRC team to ensure that effective mitigations are in place, and risks are appropriately documented and accepted.

This position functions as a Cybersecurity GRC Analyst supporting the COMET contract on Kennedy Space Center. Primary function will be maintaining an effective risk posture and Authorization to Operate (ATO) for NASA systems supporting the Artemis Program.

This position will be working within the mission environment supporting the Artemis program.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

- Working with the ISSM and system administration teams to ensure compliance with NASA/NIST 800-53 cybersecurity requirements for responsible systems.

- Be a subject matter expert on the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and your assigned mission system.

- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to convey risk to NASA and COMET stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Outstanding proficiency in communication skills (both written and oral), as well as building and sustaining relationships needed to achieve objectives.

- Expertise in delivering innovative solutions that align with organizational strategies, goals, and objectives.

- Experience evaluating new and emerging IT and cybersecurity technologies.

- Strong background in Liunx system administration and implementing security controls on Linux systems.

- Candidate needs to be self-motivated, flexible and able to excel in a dynamic mission critical environment.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field with at least four years IT experience or six years of IT experience.

Position may be filled at a higher level based on education and/or experience.

- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification in the Information Assurance Technician (IAT) or Identity and Access Management (IAM) Level III category.

Desired: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT or Cybersecurity (or a related discipline from an accredited college or university) and 2+ years of governance, risk and compliance experience.

Physical Requirements
• Will be required to climb stairs to access equipment for trouble shooting.
• Will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and other associated personal protective equipment.
• Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
• Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures.
• Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency.

Work Environment
• Will be required to work inside and outside throughout the test complex.
• Position may require individual to travel daily to different areas on site.
• Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand, is required to access various locations on the facility.
• Climbing ladders and platforms may be necessary.
• All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and company safety standards. Attendance
• Full-time work hours.
• Position may require occasional overtime, including weekend work, depending on task.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Shift work may be required.
