The Data Administrator serves as the primary gatekeeper for all part masters created across all systems for DFP.

  • Utilizes the PLM system (Aras Innovator) and the ERP system (Epicor).
  • Interfaces daily with design engineers, project engineers, engineering managers, project planning leaders, procurement agents, and Document Control with the goal of timely release of accurate data supporting external part records, internal legacy part records, and standard part records; supporting documentation; and the relationships between them across our systems.
  • Validates part numbers as identified by Engineering against supporting specifications or documentation accompanying the part. If documentation is not provided with the part, it may be necessary to work with Engineering or work independently to source appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Works closely with Document Control to resolve any issues found with records created by engineering that fall within this scope, as well as support external requests for files or other data sourced from our PLM system, such as requests for 3D models to support external fabrication efforts.
  • Reviews part masters in the PLM system against a wide variety of specifications to validate part numbers and part attributes.
  • Serves as a liaison between Engineering and Planning / Procurement to capture accurate data and ensure proper set up of records in the PLM and ERP systems, including unit of measure (UOM) and UOM conversions.
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Working knowledge of PLM and/or ERP systems; specific knowledge of Aras and / or Epicor ERP a big plus.
  • Familiarity with engineering or technical documents and hardware / material specifications from industry, military, and OEMs (including Boeing, Airbus, and other aerospace OEMs).
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
  • Familiarity with databases and SQL preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Ability to efficiently learn new tasks and processes.
  • Ability to make recommendations for improving systems and processes.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
