Job Responsibilities: Data Analyst - Data Engineer for Digital Operations - with Advanced Analytics
Connected Operations is part of the larger Customer Experience organization and leads the transition to a digital ecosystem where interactions with customers and partners (dealers) leave digital footprints. Key digital initiatives include NLP engines, speech-to-text for IVR systems, transition to Intelligent Bots, and utilizing machine learning tools for system improvement. Additionally, we ensure transactional performance of in-vehicle product services, analyzing real-time vehicle data to ensure customer safety and ownership experience.

The individual in this role leads efforts to develop "first in line" insights, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and effectiveness of implemented solutions. They provide technical expertise to develop analytics-driven solutions to achieve business goals, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to design, develop, and deploy analytic models.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with various data sources including Oracle, Teradata, Greenplum, and Hadoop databases to extract information and create KPIs, serving as benchmarks for critical program success.
  • Perform effective gap analysis to understand failure rates and causes, and implement Text Analytics/ML programs to enhance business analytics.
  • Lead holistic integration strategies to achieve a unified picture of all programs.
  • Gather data through mining computer software to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Assess solution effectiveness through cost models and collaborate with broader teams.
  • Lead advanced text analytics, identify text splits, and create topic categories from text analytics.

Required Technical Skills/Tools:
  • Expertise in SQL across Oracle, Hadoop/Hive databases.
  • Experience with ETL systems, such as Batch SQL and Data Stage.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence and data analysis software, including IBM Cognos Impromptu, Tableau, and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition.
  • Knowledge of IVR systems and vehicle-based telematics architecture.
  • Specialized knowledge of vehicle-based health programs and High-Speed telematics ingestion.
  • Proficiency in database management systems, such as Apache Hadoop/HDFS, Oracle PL/SQL, Teradata Database, Apache Cassandra, Apache Hive, and NoSQL databases.
  • Advanced proficiency in text Analytics using Hive and experience implementing machine learning models.

Preferred Technical Skills/Tools:
  • Knowledge of Data lakes, Datawarehouse, and Operational data stores.
  • Familiarity with Kafka streaming systems and Microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of best CX practices for operational performance efficiencies.
  • Ability to drive insights from structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data.
  • Self-starter with the ability to form initial impressions from ambiguous data.
  • Experience with project management and development environment software.
