About the Role

The Business Intelligence Data Analyst Intern collaborates with Operations Program Management to provide business and technical analysis, metrics, and actionable insights for strategic targets. This role involves independent data analysis and proactive problem-solving. The intern will also be responsible for dashboard development with a solutions-oriented mindset.

Location: Hybrid/Onsite in Alpharetta, GA. No relocation assistance is provided.

Duration: May 20th- July 26th, 2024

Responsibilities

• Understanding complex data relationships and proactively creating clear and concise PowerBI dashboards.
• Building relationships for multiple data sets, designing data models, and developing SQL views.
• Developing user-friendly, scalable dashboards with drill-down capabilities and managing automated routines for data deliveries.
• Undertaking analysis using statistical modeling techniques and providing relevant analysis to stakeholders.
• Ensuring accurate data collection and reporting, participating in data compliance exercises, and maintaining documentation.
• Interacting with teams to understand data needs, cross-pollinating best practices, and supporting ad-hoc projects and analytics.

Requirements

• Be a currently enrolled student pursuing an education in business, communications, computer science, analytics, or a related field of study.
• Be able to conduct exploratory data analysis, identify patterns/trends, and visualize actionable insights using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Have programming experience in languages such as R, Python, and Excel Macros, with a good understanding of data science libraries.
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills in dealing with large complex data sets and projects.
• Be able to navigate a highly matrixed organization, interact effectively with peers, and influence various management levels.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, problem-solving capabilities, and a business partner/customer service mindset.
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and clients.
