Responsibilities
  • Using multiple data sources retrieves, collects, verifies, and enters data into designated trauma registry by adhering to established timelines and work plans, locating and initiating review of pertinent patient records, and interpreting/analyzing documentation as it relates to data elements.
  • Providing data flow feedback to supervisor in order to maximize resource utilization and office operations. Coordinates collaborative working relationships between disciplines to foster research, quality management, clinical case management, and injury prevention efforts.
  • Ensuring completeness and integrity of data by running quality reports and through inter-rater validation from the directive of the CISS Supervisor.
  • Working collaboratively with the trauma performance improvement program.
  • Facilitates and implements the goals and objectives for the maintenance and continued development of the Central Injury Surveillance System.

Minimum Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree or higher in Business or Healthcare related field
  • Working knowledge of computer applications and information management.
  • ICD coding and/or data analytical experience preferred
