OVERVIEW

Data Systems Architect is responsible for designing data infrastructure to extract and organize data for authorized individuals to access. Understanding and identifying the organization's internal and external data sources, collaborating with data owners to determine storage and organizational needs, and using the information to design data infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:

Research and properly evaluate sources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability.

Design effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve organizations data

Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating Client operations, applications, programming and maintenance capabilities.

Prepare accurate database solution design and architecture reports for management and executive teams.

Design a migration process from current legacy systems to new architecture.

Create monitoring solution for performance, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.

Educate staff members through training and individual support.

Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for enterprise-wide data architectural visions and standards across the organization.

Work with IT teams to ensure quality and compliance with the Enterprise Data Architecture by participating in data analysis and design activities.

Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years' experience in similar role

Familiar with Oracle, SQL, Snowflake, Azure

Familiar with data governance capabilities designed into overall solution

Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining

Outstanding problem solver

Good written and verbal communications skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field.
