The main function of a Data Center Construction Project Engineer is to direct and coordinate day-to-day activities in the field for onsite delivery of projects, regularly collaborating with key stakeholders. Must be out on site reviewing installation policies & procedures. Ensure they meet day 1 specifications and information needs that are required for local & state codes for facility.
Job Responsibilities:
* Direct and coordinate day-to-day activities in the field.
* Regularly collaborate and engage key Microsoft stakeholders, including Land Development, Microsoft Security, Legal, Design, Construction, and Operations teams.
* Work with the General Contractor engineering team to ensure that construction details and permit requirements are confirmed.
* Work with the General Contractor engineering team to ensure that materials are reviewed, approved, fabricated, and delivered to the site.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of Construction Project Engineer experience
Data Center construction project experience
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required.
General knowledge and experience with a variety of construction means and methods
Experience reviewing specifications (design, & client specific specifications), knowing local code & state codes for building (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air handling)
Strong electrical background, how panels are being installed, terminated, monitoring cables, network installation, and HVAC installations
Very organized and highly skilled at documentation
Ability to work well within a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multiple teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
