Seeking a Construction Project Manager for a Fortune500 client in Chicagoland are. The qualified candidate will be responsible for managing the construction and installation of hyperscale datacenter infrastructure, ensuring work is complete safely, on time, and within budget. This person needs to be the boots on the ground with extensive knowledge of the project drawings as well as the project construction contracts. The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of the project and will be supported by a site-based team during the construction, fit-out and commissioning and handover phases of the project. Will be working closely with the Chicagoland Principal Program Manager- providing high level overviews and issue resolutions.
Other responsibilities:
* Several meetings -- recurring w/ rest of project team, Gen Contractor, telecom contractor
* Contract and manage fit out and technical infrastructure -- low voltage, networking components server racks, conveyance
* SAFETY is key -- ensuring safety is met, and calling out when it is not met
* Ensuring the project is on time and within budget
* Interaction level with team: working with manager very closely and various teams. Dedicated for that specific site, and main POC but their manager will be available as resource.

Required Skills & Experience
+10 years of Construction Project Management experience
Experience with Data Center builds from scratch
Experience with greenfield through full construction, as well as fitting out existing buildings
Experience working with and managing general contractors & 3rd parties
Able to manage construction contracts- knows the contracts inside and out and can ensure project is sticking to them
Ensure all is happening per the drawings/schedule/contract, and on time -- can review drawings and even make recommendations
Safety focused, detail oriented, able to get in the weeds
OSHA 30
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with a hyper speed and hyperscale data center construction projects
PMP certifications
RCDD certification
Telecom installation
