Data Center Facilities Technician, Dojo

The Dojo team is looking for a hands-on, self-directed engineering technician to operate and maintain the facility systems serving the Tesla Dojo supercomputers. This position is a full time, on-site role.

Responsibilities

• Operational expert for mechanical system at the Dojo facilities. The mechanical systems and equipment can include pumps, piping, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, etc.
• Available for occasional on-site emergency calls nights and weekends
• Develop preventative maintenance plans. Drive the execution of both preventative and emergency maintenance for facility equipment
• Collaborate with building facilities team to ensure reliability of building facilities systems impacting Dojo spaces
• Identify and maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime
• Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns as well as develop and implement energy monitoring metrics
• Support commissioning efforts by witnessing equipment startup, assisting with functional testing, and monitoring construction progress

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on operations or facilities work experience. Data center experience is preferred
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or with Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Ability to command the english language, both written and verbal
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to utilize hand tools and power tools as needed

Expected Compensation


• Engineering Technician I - $25.92 - $28.90/hour
• Engineering Technician II - $29.88 - $33.02/hour
• Engineering Technician III - $32.80 - $38.11/hour
• Engineering Technician IV - $35.98 - $43.97/hour
• Engineering Technician Lead - $40.56 - $49.58/hour
