Description

BASIC FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee proper reporting and record keeping related to student attendance and enrollment including transfers, withdrawals, statistical reports, and census cards.
  • Ensure students, parents, and others who visit the office receive proper assistance in matters relating to enrollment, transfer, attendance, etc.
  • Oversee issuance of admit and tardy cards, as well as excuses for students leaving school.
  • Ensure the maintenance of adequate and accurate student records with regard to home address, telephone number, and attendance.
  • Oversees and ensures all students have complete cum record folders, including obtaining transcripts and other records on students who are new to the district.
  • Serves as the official record keeper for the campus.
  • Interface with other school districts concerning student transfer records.
  • Plan and schedule tasks, taking into consideration school priorities and the departmental calendar.
  • Understand and correctly use computer for systems supported including data transmission, student database inquiry, printed products, and attendance.
  • Request, send and maintain student cumulative records using TREx.
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or USA equivalency
  • Two years of office experience with a focus on record keeping
  • Experience in maintenance of student records in a public school environment preferred
  • Typing skills of 40 words per minute.
  • Computerized record keeping experience, preferably as a secondary school data controller.
  • Oversee issuance of admit and tardy cards, as well as excuses for students leaving school.
  • Ensure the maintenance of adequate and accurate student records with regard to home address, telephone number, and attendance.
